Blind Love
They say love is blind,
so why are you the one
who can’t see what’s going on?
All my time is spent with you;
we talk for hours;
you’re the one I want to turn to first
when something good happens,
when something bad happens,
when something makes me laugh.
You offer romance advice,
and I follow it,
but you don’t pick up on your own clues.
What else can I do?
When the words and touches
are ineffective,
am I supposed to give up?
Because the only thing I haven’t done
is kiss you.
And I’m just not that bold.
