Reader, please help me.

I am a knight,

the hero of my story;

I am on a quest,

seeking for something

that doesn’t want to be found:

a dragon.

I know it exists—

others tell of their tales with dragons

in song and text and over lunch,

others have given maps and advice

(wanted and unwanted).

I have valiantly searched,

over mountains

under seas

in the clouds

around every corner,

but still

I am eluded.

Oh, Reader,

I believe that, from the outside,

you can see what I have missed,

a dragon that is right in front of me.

Tell me what you see,

guide me in my quest,

for I know

there be a dragon

for me.
